The CALM-CSU Study

A research study is currently evaluating an investigational treatment for hives, specifically a type called Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU). If you or a loved one suffers from hives from chronic spontaneous urticaria, you may be eligible to participate in the CALM-CSU study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate if a new investigational drug called EP262 is safe and effective in treating the symptoms of CSU. Participation will last for approximately 14 weeks, including screening and follow-up. Patients will be asked to visit the study site approximately 5 times to undergo procedures and tests to assess their health. The investigational drug will be provided in the form of capsules to be taken once daily for 6 weeks.

To participate in this study, patients must:

  • Be between 18-80 years of age

  • Have a clinical diagnosis of Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU) for at least 6 months

  • Have itch and hives most days of the week

  • Not have other active skin diseases associated with chronic itching and/or hives

*Other eligibility criteria apply. Study treatment, visits, tests, and procedures will be provided at no cost to you. The study staff can tell you about any reimbursement for travel-related expenses or compensation that may be available.
